Her passion is to engage communities and workplaces in making spaces more green and more beautiful. She recognizes the value of this not only in terms of enhancing the physical spaces but also engaging people in planting and making links with each other, the environment and the wider community.

    Place Making Workshops

Join The Green Edge Team and get stuck into a nature based activity which is transformative in engaging your workplace in the Environment.
Green Edge will be holding workshops during the Conference at different points in the day and will introduce attendees to the opportunities for Corporate Social Responsibility activities while addressing team issues in the workplace and benefiting you and your community.
Marion has carried out these “place making” activities successfully within companies to help address particular issues, make links to the wider community and also to embrace mental health, environment and their CSR

Developing Resilience in Times of Challenge

Ger Murphy is the Executive Director of the Institute of Creative Counselling and Psychotherapy in Dublin and is an organisational consultant and Psychotherapist in private practice. He has worked therapeutically with individuals for over 40 years. He has run a psychotherapy training for 25 years and trained hundreds of psychotherapists in Ireland and abroad. He is particularly interested in how we remain resilient in challenging times and uses poetry and body-oriented perspectives to help transform our relations to ourselves, each other, and the natural world

Ger will speak about managing fear, and introduce us to ways to remain resilient in these challenging times. Neuroscience shows us that we can react in traumatic ways when faced with overwhelming threat. It is useful, Ger will argue, to recognize our reactions and take responsibility for transforming them so that we can respond creatively to the challenges we face.

The workshop will help us recognize our trauma based reactions, examine our underlying assumptions, face our fear, and generate more inner psychological and spiritual resilience to meet the world as it now is.

Founder of GIFT (Global Institute of Forest Therapy) and the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.

Sky Maria Buitenhuis has extensive experience supporting people to deepen their connection to nature, including our own inner nature as part of the larger natural landscape.

The Workshop will focus on aligning ourselves with Nature for our Well-being, that of our Business and the Well-Being of the Planet.

"We are pushing life to its limits, within us as we experience stress, depression and burn-out, interpersonally as unrest and wars rage, and within our larger biosphere as we approach climate catastrophe and all it entails.
This push has been driven by the core Western Cultural belief that we as humans are somehow
separate from the larger biosphere, and therefore are independent of its life-giving systems".

During this workshop you will gain the insights and tools for:

    • personal practices to align with natures life-giving processes
    • experience how it feels to be deeply embedded within a human ecological story that is unfolding from our ancestors to our future generations
    • create a bridge between these experiences and affecting your work place culture
